about me

  • Hi! I'm Sandra, a creative multipreneur born and raised in Slovenia, but currently living in London, where I work as a freelance online content creator and social media consultant.

In 2014 I graduated from the University of Ljubljana with a BA in English Language and Literature, and in the same year completed Make-up Designory's PRO I and PRO II courses, obtaining their world-renowned certificate in professional make-up artistry.

Education aside, I've been working on many different projects. It all started with the launch of my beauty, travel and lifestyle blog back in 2010. I loved how it let me combine all of my passions such as makeup, photography and writing, and I quickly started devoting more and more time to it. Since blogging and social media go hand in hand, it didn't take me long to utilize all major social media platforms, including YouTube, which really opened my eyes to the online opportunities out there.

Bulding my online presence clearly wasn't enough for me, so I rolled up my sleeves and started working on another, pretty major project, the idea for which was totally my dad's fault. Long story short, he got tired of me complaining about the lack of amazing beauty brands available on the Slovenian market, and before we knew it, we had Destination Pretty, our very own online store.

Since the creative and the digital marketing side of my side projects is what always made my heart beat a little faster, I made it a mission to learn everything there is to know about content creating and social media in order to make it my full time job. To kick start my career, I moved to London, where I quickly scored an internship at a beauty PR agency. Soon after, that short-term internship turned into a full time position and led me to managing social media for all of their clients, including Europe's number one cosmetic brand.

A year later, with heaps of enthusiasm and confidence in my skills, it was time to make another one of my dreams come true. I decided to become my own boss! I realized having a regular nine to five office job doesn't go hand in hand with the lifestyle of an online content creator, an occassional globe trotter and a business owner, so I went freelance and haven't looked back since. The services I currently offer to my clients are social media consulting, social media management, (copy)writing, blogger outreach and translating.
